Ann Berkey, a CAL client joins other couriers to continue to deliver life-saving stem cell donations during COVID-19. With travel restrictions all over the world, Ann and other volunteers work hard to fine ways around these restrictions to keep saving lives.
As NowThisNews explains, “In US news and current events today, these people work to deliver life saving stem cell donations on time despite the problems caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. There are nearly 400 people serving as couriers for Be The Match, the national bone marrow donor program. Couriers are in charge of picking up stem cell donations, whether domestic or abroad, and bringing them to the recipient on time. Be The Match says the organization has had to get creative after strict travel bans were put in place around the world in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, watch to find out more.”
