How long have you been in the industry and how did you get started in insurance?
12 years. Like many in the industry, I fell into it. I was teaching preschool and took a job at a local agency as a receptionist to make some extra money. I was licensed and working in Personal Lines within the first 2 years and have never looked back.
Briefly describe what you do at CAL:
Private Client Advisor- My role is to assist the team with the marketing of new and existing business, as well working directly with clients to handle their needs. I really enjoy the marketing aspect of insurance, as well as helping people understand the coverage they have.
What do you enjoy doing in your leisure time?
I love spending time with my husband and 3year old. We have a family cabin in the Carmel Valley area and we love to explore and hike the Santa Lucia mountains.
What is your favorite or most desired vacation destination and why?
Maui. I love the mix of beach and mountains. I’ve been a couple of times and look forward to going back. My bucket list location is to stay in a “Tree Hotel” in Sweden to see Aurora Borealis
Which CAL core value do you most identify with?
As soon as I met the CAL team, I recognized that they were not your average Agency. I could tell everyone cared for the clients and were not only about a bottom-line sales goal. I put my heart into everything I do and enjoy working with others that do the same. I also love that the PCS team is largely female, you can really feel the comradery.
